Indeed it is a Expy ... 2000-2002 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Gen. 1 (UN93) ![[Image: 00fordexpeditionebb.941.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/0is145/00fordexpeditionebb.941.jpg) Changes for 2000 model year • Front fender mounted radio antenna disappeared in favor of a hidden radio antenna for a more tidy appearance. • Side impact airbags (outward side seat mounted) become available along with rear bumper mounted park distance/backup sensors. • Eddie Bauer trim was updated; lower front bumper valance and running boards are now in Arizona Beige (rather than black) to complement the other Eddie Bauer Arizona Beige trim. • On Eddie Bauer models, side view mirrors get Clearance Turn-Signal lamps integrated into the mirror housing assembly. • Gentex auto-dimming electrochromatic rear view mirrors become available. • Power adjustable acceleration & break pedals become available. |

"Eddie Bauer" is a clothing company that specializes in high-end, high performance outdoor clothing (much like "L.L.Bean") The company was founded in 1920 by a Mr. Eddie Bauer (born: 1899, died: 1986) who was an devoted outdoorsman. He is credited for producing the first Quilted Down Jacket for outdoor use. The name Eddie Bauer is synonymous with the Outdoor lifestyle. Which is why Ford uses the name as a trim level for the Expedition (which is a rugged outdoor SUV) Also the trim level helps to promote the clothing company, so its just another form of advertisement for them.
