Body developed with aid of Karmann for Cabriolet version, circa 1989 |

As far as I can tell, the last year those taillights were used was '91 |

indeed |

Maybe they used a new car only for the inside view, or that they simply cheated by changing the "counter". |

Nope,it is a 1991,you can tell by the speedo in the photo antp provided for us. |
◊ 2007-11-02 13:18 |
I don't think we can tell exactly what year this car is, that speedo might not be from the cars used in the film. It it was from 1991 why would a 4-year-old car have such a low milage (that's the kind of milage cars have on them when you buy them new). |

1993 and 1994 models had different gages,so it could be a 1989-1992. |
◊ 2007-11-03 18:51 |
Hecubus said that headlights were '91 |
◊ 2007-11-26 17:05 |
Then that makes it a 1991. |

Sorry i must correct everyone on the year of this car. it was actually what is known as Hess and Eisenhardt convertible.made from 1987 to 1988 This company was sanctioned by jaguar to produce a full convertible, as jaguar was not actually producing its own convertible in 1987 and 1988. jaguars own convertible was available in 1989 The vehicle used in the movie is either a 87 or 88 model year. you can tell the hess and eisenhardt conversion by the way the convertible top folds down deep inside the body of the car and lack of rear seats. jaguars own convertible does not fold very deep into the body of the car and has 2 rear seats. |

I bought the car in 1994 about two months before the movie was in theaters. It is a 1988 Hess and Eisenhardt. The speedometer shot was from a different car. I got the car with 50k on it. Apparently, the owner before 20th century fox, was one of Heidi Fliess' girls. (Only a rumor) I still own the car and have it here in sunny Buffalo NY. |

Awesome, I've added you as vehicle owner. Do you have any pictures of the car as it is now? |

This is the only pic that I had in my phone. ![]() |

Here are some more pics of the Jag. We put chrome fender flares on it to hid a small dent in one of the rear ones. There is a ding in the passenger door that you can see in the movie and some grill flaking too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
