La niveleuse en arrière plan |

it strongly resembles quite an obscure FRENCH producer named RICHIER notice the big thing at the bottom of windhsield https://www.troostwijkauctions.com/fr/niveleuse-automotrice/03-18498-16064-2466730/ http://photostp.free.fr/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12695 http://photostp.free.fr/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2102&start=20 other option some CAT http://www.machineryzone.fr/occasion/niveleuse/4318051/caterpillar-e.html -- Last edit: 2014-07-24 22:00:17 |

Doesn't the cab have a unique Richier shape to it? |
◊ 2014-06-22 21:09 |
that old CAT I linked seems to have same cab and remember CAT had a factory in France too and some more in Europe -- Last edit: 2014-06-22 21:10:19 |

What other graders were there in France besides Richier and Cat? Then, doesn't the front end of this grader resemble Cat more than Richier? -- Last edit: 2014-06-22 22:00:02 |

The Cat you showed was made in U.S.A. and showed both E and F on serial number plates. |

dunno, you can google a bit french term for motor grader is niveleuse -- Last edit: 2014-06-22 22:19:29 |

This has to be the Richier , the cab roof profile is identical and the strange windscreen shape. |

this cabin seems an aftermarket job it looks identical on that CAT and Richier and in this era many graders where still produced open top from little what I see of the actual grader the front axle design looks more like CAT , the one I posted has F in it's serial plate which means produced in France also the shovel mechanism looks like CAT IMO , if you want to see more Richier just google " RICHIER niveleuse" so you agree that this is rather a CAT ?? -- Last edit: 2014-07-24 22:23:45 |

My money is still on a Richier ( orange was their standard colour ) but do not know for definite. |
◊ 2014-07-25 10:54 |
are you sure, nearly all the Richier you google are yellow Richier had a distinct engine panel design but unfortunatly you cannot see the panels in main pic http://i20.servimg.com/u/f20/12/30/94/16/la_loc13.jpg focus right at the front here , seems there is a circly part on the middle of front axle on this Richier models Link to "staticclub.caradisiac.com" CAT had a bird like jaw design in that area which also looks to be in main pic http://pics.imcdb.org/13592/untitled.630.jpg -- Last edit: 2014-07-25 10:55:31 |

I don't know , the imcd pic is not clear enough , there are similarities to them both . We need a French plant expert -- Last edit: 2014-07-25 13:24:24 |

those expert in french construction forum didn't know either IMO I go and say this should be listed as Caterpillar unknown , remember CAT had at least one factory in France since the late 60/early 70 so that's why many of their products are found inFrnace |

here JCB this are the 2 design elements which make me believe that this is a CAT and not Richier, you can google some more Richier if you want direct upload |

looking back at it, it smells CAT by the very thin front wheel toe link -- Last edit: 2023-07-10 16:29:07 |
