Destroyed for the sake of comedy ? Rear gate badge appears to say "TOURING", but I thought the Touring models came standard with roof racks ... -- Last edit: 2009-06-03 02:29:12 |

No, it wasn't destroyed. It was dented when Paul Blart (Kevin James) slammed into it. The dent is visible in the first thumbnail. Also it slammed through some glass doors but it wasn't destroyed, probably just slightly damaged. And maybe the roof racks were removed? |

Ahh, it’s a LX. Seems LX is written inside the rectangular trim badge, but decorative lines are used to make up for wasted space, go figure. Also LX has black mirrors while Touring models are painted. Also a design update to note, to ID 2009 models: 2009 models have "Town & Country" moved to right side of the rear liftgate, with "Chrysler" now occupying where the name badge used to be. |

Just watched this movie last night. Doesn't 4 stars seem high since most the movie it's just a 1 star then they use it in a chase. |

Well it was a bit tricky for me but I gave it four stars because it's seen throughout most of the movie and this particular scene where Paul slams into it would be a two-star role by itself, and then plus the chase in the end. |

What other vehicles does this chase? |
◊ 2009-06-03 22:34 |
The Chevrolet Express van that is also listed. |

Any crashes? |

As I stated in response to Neptune, the only real "crash" is when the van slams through the front doors of the mall. However, the chase itself isn't exactly exciting, although there's a nice little stunt involving it |

A Town & Country LX (that has the base engine) chasing a Express would be fun to watch ... Though in real life, if the Express had the large V8, it would walk away from the Town & Country. Shame they didn’t used the Town & Country Limited. Those high-line models have an exclusive 4.0 L V6 with 6-Speed automatic. They have been time clocked doing 0-60 in 8.2 seconds. Someone on YouTube posted an acceleration video for a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Limited http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIIkbk6sEqs&feature=related -- Last edit: 2011-06-24 02:41:19 |

mmmm sounds very nicely! |

Yep, that isn't a Touring. It has hubcaps versus alloy wheels and no roof rack. Has black door handles and side mirrors, too. No fog lamps, either. If a 'Touring' badge was added, it was added only for effect. |

LX due to black trim like a Dodge Caravan VP and lack of roofrack. probably has the 3.3 engine |

That is definitely an LX... in reply to dicbrain906's comment, it could have either the 3.3 or the 3.8 as both were options on the base LX. |

Looks like a second one was used? One appears to be blue and the other silver -- Last edit: 2019-09-06 13:04:25 (walter) |
