It is a Thundersley Invacar Model 70 (1970-77). |

I know it actually as the AC Invacar. Yes, the same AC that supplied the bases for the Shelby Cobras! See: http://www.3wheelers.com/invacar.html |

AC produced invalide carriages for the government from 1947 until 1976. This includes the standardised Model 70. But next to AC there were quite a few other manufacturers, like Barrett, Tippen & Son, George Fitt, Harper, Dingwall & Son and Thundersley. Thundersley produced the final car of the Model 70 in 1977. Therefore I would use that name, even though AC is correct, too. Any chance to see the numberplate? Right at the bottom of the page is one of the last Invacars: http://www.disabled-motorist.co.uk/feb05/news.htm -- Last edit: 2006-02-26 19:30:10 |

The silver car next to the space where the Invacar was attempting to back into is a 1985-89 Honda Accord.
