Which trim level is this? |

Is that Lincoln Town Car some kind of special edition or is it just a customized one for the movie? For I have a book about the history of the Ford Motor Company and they talk about of the Lincoln brand as well and I cannot find that type of Lincoln on it. I can find some 1990s lincoln special edition, but not the particular one that appeares on the movie. -- Last edit: 2015-05-02 18:23:54 |

http://images.dealerrevs.com/pictures/41511577.jpg http://images.dealerrevs.com/gallery/photo.php?id=41511613 found one but according to the website its a 1994. maybe those gold accesories are aftermarket or comes from the option list |

but the film is from 1993, they might have use one from either from the same year or earlier. |

that's what i'm thinking too, the one i found is 1994 but it doesn't mean that it wasn't available before according to my books, the Cartier trim level should have dual exhaust -- Last edit: 2015-05-02 19:42:41 |

My friend who has owned many Town Cars swears this is a 1990 Executive Series trim level, but I really beg to differ. I've always thought it looked like a '92 or a '93 Cartier edition. Since the movie takes place in 1993, I think it was probably a brand new '94 Cartier. It has red interior, I'm not sure if that can narrow down the year, though. I don't know if any interior color options were dropped in '93 or '94. There is an interior photo that shows the dashboard. It appears to be digital. |

I think all the gold trim is custom. |

Tough to distinguish the grille bar pattern for certain, but it appears to me to be of the '90-'92 style. |

Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" just found this, which eliminates the Cartier as a 1990 |

as Commander57 said, grille is 1990-1992 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a3/90-92_Lincoln_Town_Car.jpg and http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/11398610.jpg for 1993-1994 |

1991 Bumper style. |

I was wrong about it being a '94 or a '93. I'm pretty sure that starting in '93 the tail lights had a "checkerboard" pattern, which this one does not, so it has to be between 1990-1992. |

That is actually a rear reflector but you are correct. The '93/'94 had a checkerboard pattern while the '90-'92 had horizontal lines. It is not a '90 however as that year had more chrome on the front and rear bumpers. On my monitor, I cannot make out the reflector or the grille pattern, but if others can see the '90-'92 style grille, then so be it. That means possible range on the subject car of '91-'92. |

I've been really looking into more details on options for the '91 through '92 Town Cars to place the exact trim level and year for this Town Car, but to no avail. I think all the gold trim was added on by the filmmakers to further exaggerate Debbie's gaudy lifestyle and taste. |

Debbie Jellinsky's 1991 or 1992 Lincoln Town Car. Hard to narrow down a trim level, but this one seems to be pretty well-optioned. I don't think it's a Cartier; more likely a fully loaded Executive or Signature Series based on the exhaust system. Leaning more toward Executive Series as I believe the Signature Series had badging which this car does not have. Here's a link to a video with the car's main action scene: https://youtu.be/F63KBMPsnPo?t=51s Also appears briefly in an earlier scene when Debbie and Fester first move into their new house after the Hawaiian honeymoon: https://youtu.be/RYr-Yb5sLpU?t=5m17s Appears to have a digital dash, red leather interior and custom gold trim option. Brakes lock up which is odd as this model would have definitely been equipped with ABS as standard. Probably modified for filming purposes. The car is driven quite roughly and looks like it may have been damaged during the chase sequence, especially the suspension as it crashes hard over a concrete divider in the middle of the road. Very beautiful 2nd generation Town Car. Thought this might interest some of you; a nice tour and comparison between the 1990 and 1991 models: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx5EkMUrt4o -- Last edit: 2018-08-09 03:36:46 |

I think this was a custom-made '91 Town Car based on the difficulty of finding a model identical to this one, which would make sense as all the extra gold trim makes it "match" the gaudy mansion that Debbie owns. My guess is that this is a custom 1991 Executive Series, which was the base model, but this one appeared to be well-optioned with digital dash. |
