It's a stretch of an '84 Sedan Deville. Per the chrome windsplit, crest hood ornament and thin rocker molding. |

Always remember: Cadillac = Big 'V'. In all de-Ville name-variations (but NOT for the Seville!) as well as under the hood. @antp: Can you add a feature which automatically turns the 'V' for all de Ville/ DeVille/ deVille into a capital letter? I find the same mistake on this site every other day... -- Last edit: 2009-06-22 23:53:05 |

Wasn't it "Deville" for late 80s/90s models? |

No, there's no truth in this rumour. Therefore: During the late 80s they were named Coupe/ Sedan deVille, in 1994 the Sedan DeVille started and the coupe was discontinued. For the final series, 1997 onwards, the body prefix was dropped and DeVille became the official notation - until they had the brilliant idea of blowing off this traditional name and using the charmless DTS acronym instead. |

But we keep the difference deVille/DeVille/de Ville ? (I can also make that automatic according to the year...) -- Last edit: 2009-06-30 12:03:29 |
