In fact , this car should be filed under the Borgward make .It is an early post ww II Borgward " Hansa 1500" coach of ca 1950.Since 1939 , Hansa had been absorbed by the Borgward concern |

You are both right ![]() ![]() ![]() This car is a Borgward Hansa 1500, of which 23.140 were produced between 1949 and 1952. Borgward took the shares majority of Hansa-Lloyd in 1928, the complete works in 1931. Up to the war the up-market cars of the Borgward group were labled 'Hansa', after the war 'Borgward Hansa'. 'Hansa' was dropped with the introduction of the 'Isabella' in 1954. But in 1958 the name was revived when the Hansa 1100 Limousine and Coupé were introduced. |
