I strongly suspect this is a 1978 343. The early 300s had really good chrome. Later cars (1982 onwards) used plastic coated tin foil or something similar. It looked identical when new but deteriorated more quickly. From 1979 to 1983 the post separating the quarter light from the opener was plain black, not chrome trimmed as in this picture.
