 It does look like a 353 and in fact it is, except for some minor details... The big taillights and the indicator repeater on the front wing (instead of the bigger side indicator all on front) make this a 1989-1991 Wartburg 1,3, with the 1300 VW Polo / Golf engine.

 The other 1.3 models are listed as 1988, but production started in Octobre of that year, so rather model year 1989. I'll change them.
