Theoretically yes, but I think just the wagon was called so. This one is the sedan version, basically the same but it was called Saab 96, built from 1960 on. As it seems to be a rather early one, it could be equipped with a 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine since this was the sole engine until 1966. |

Yes, 95 is the wagon, this is some 96 version, but probably called Sedan in USA. This front was used in 1965-1968. The double chrome strip on the power part of the body will make this a Sport version, probably called Monte Carlo in USA. It can be a 2-stroke (1965+) or V4 (1967). In 1968 the V4 Monte-Carlo name was changed in De Luxe |

You are correct DynaMike. Indeed it is SAAB Sport Sedan [96]. Mirror on the dashboard, small windshield do indicates 1965/68 version (two cycle engine). |

Only according http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Sport other difference is "From the outside it could be differentiated from a standard 96 by the twin chrome stripes along the lower part of the sides.". As we can see in the main pic. BTW, previuos link only says SAAB Sport as model name and From 1963 on the model for the USA market was named Granturismo 850. This is a 1967 model by the colour and the small windshield, most likely a Monte Carlo 850. From what I can find the Monte Carlo V4 wasn´t sold on US-market that year. |
