There's something strange with the taillights... 2CV since 1970 had the bigger taillights from the Ami 6 in which the taillight and the license plate light were the same. Here there seem to be two separate lights, though, and also the license plate seems to be a direction as the bootlid, not vertical. Therefore this will be a 18 bhp version (even stranger that it is surpassing a BMW .gif ";)") ), and since the car obviously has got a third side window, an indicator on the C-pillar and no suicide doors it has to be a 1964+ AZA (Belgian built for D, or 1966+ French built, but that is less probable in Germany). |

Are you sure with "made for D"? The plate is not really visible. I can be from annother country, too. The scene was shot on the A 66, as it seems. |

The plate is long enough to be German. It cannot be French (always two numbers at the end); it is light coloured, so no Dutch, Austrian, Danish; too big to be Belgian or any other Scandinavian country, not square enough to be Swiss (or Italian). Maybe Spanish ? I don't think so... Under Franco's regime not many Spanish people would go to Germany by private car, and if they did, they would rather drive a big Mercedes or some American tank. |

You're right, annother plate except a German is not likely. When i look for it closer, it seems, it's from OF (Offenbach). By the shade of the reflection of the BMW-plate it seems, that it has one of the first reflecting ones. Allowed since 1972, until they became mandatory in 1989, they were available for extra charge. I like them and try to get more for my collection. .gif ":)") |
