They are not brand new (or they filmed this for two years - but rather strange that cars are already registered). The small indicators say that they were made in 1976-1977 (can be m.y. 1977 - my brochure was printed in 1976). The 1978 are these with big parking lights and indicators (these used by the characters). Edit, the year fo the borchure was the model year.
