The Escort star of the movie(red-white)raced in a rallycross(played or in Italy or in Spain,such rest of movie) on a track where were really done that kind of races;in fact,into early '70s,Ford Italiana,the official Ford Distributor for Italy,aided by Chevron(oil products)and Kléber(tyres)will sponsorize a mono-marque challenge trophy (the Ford Escort Rallycross Challenge)where Escorts does fiercy offroad battles on wheels(the motor stunts of the movie--rallycross race included--were played with the stunt-men team headed by Remy Julienne,famous to be the substitute of Roger Moore into car chases of 007 movies played by him--like"For Your Eyes Only"e.g.) PS The plate of red-white Escort must be Spanish-alike,but,reading a book on the plates of the world,had discovered that don't exist in that Country none old plate of that kind;in the movie,the Country's name where movie was played don't came quoted never by actors;so I've hypotized that are fake plates(don't exist none City or town or Province of Spain that have such initial letter"Y")and for be similar at early '70s Spanish plates they must shown black alpha-numeric characters,not red as seen into movie;I exclude also that could be Spanish temporary plates,'because are too much larger and shown inverted colour scheme. -- Last edit: 2007-05-20 16:32:25 |
