Built 1/13/72, this is a 1972 Brockway 361 VIN 75696. Was originally sold to Seminole Transport Line of Miami, FL. After the movie, was bought by Bruhn Enterprises of Logan, NM and eventually sold off to someone in the New Mexico mountains near Santa Fe, NM where it was wrecked again. |

When they the truck tips over on its side that as an unintentional accident. They shot the sharp bend scene then re shot it at higher speed for dramatic effect. The other trucks had fake loads so were okay. This one really had a load of wood and turned over. The script was quickly rewritten to accommodate the accident. It was a second unit shot so probably directed by the second unit director, actor James Cobern. |

Brockway's are Macks that say Brockway and have a husky instead of a bulldog. |

umm no. alot of people think the 700 series share the same cab as mack r models but they do not. The company that made the brockway cabs was Sheller-Globe. everything from the hood (cowl) up was different from the macks. plus they had no where near the same design as macks. they were custom built trucks. |
