It's a W9000. The WT's have their cab straighten. |

And I thought "WT" meant tandem. So the singleaxles were namned only "W", like this one. |

W-1000 and W-9000 models were available from 1966 to 1972, if I'm not mistaken. |

From what I understand, W/WT-1000 was used until 1970, when Ford launched the Louisville range and revised its heavy truck naming nomenclature. Before that, bigger number meant bigger payload. From F-100 to W-1000, so to speak. The new naming separated gasoline-powered engines from the Diesels. The first ones had a 3-digit number, while the Diesels got a 4-digit one. So the W/WT-1000 became the W/WT-9000. |
