G 24 man ◊ 2008-07-31 14:01	This is the original 1984 Dodge Daytona first used in the tv series In 1985 the car was updated to the 1985 model The 1984 model had the low back front seats which had a checkerboard pattern the material of the seats and were (I Believe)black and White in color, In the 1985 version it was the silver grey interior. ( I heard the swap was due to the changeovers in model years and it was rumured that the 1984 models interior of the car was hot on sunny days which made the star(Stephanie Krammer)uncomfortable during filming.
HunterMan ◊ 2009-10-30 07:24	This is the first Daytona that Dee Dee McCall (Stepfanie Kramer) used on "Hunter." It was a Garnet Red & Silver 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z. Later she did used a bright Red 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z. However, I remember seeing a "Turbo X" on this Dayton in many episodes, so was there a "Shelby Z-Turbo X"?? jettalover ◊ 2010-04-27 06:27	6th thumbnail shows the tranverse rear suspension beam. Just like the '02 Sentra i used to own. Was this rear suspension considered low-tech 25 years ago?

HunterMan ◊ 2010-12-15 08:17	This Daytona was used until season 3 when McCall got her bright red 1987 Daytona Shelby Z. As much as Hunter smashed up cars I'm surprised McCall would want to use her own personal sports car in police business with him. A lot of times they did use Hunter's junkers but she would use her car on her own or sometimes they used it together. I would think McCall could've requested another old car that she could use while on the clock.

In episode 7, it looks like they switch back and forth between the 4 lug '84 and the 5 lug '85 during the chase scene. On the one street where the Daytona is flying over intersections down the hill it's a 4-lug. In some of the alley scenes it's a 5-lug So curious about how many of these cars they had. Found these screenshots to show the difference in interior

pmafterdark ◊ 2023-02-02 01:29	night cub wrote Ep 4.04, a background Daytona: I believe this is actually a Chrysler Laser and not a Daytona as the Laser's reverse lights in the tail lamps ran the full width of the tail light as opposed to the Daytona's smaller mid section reverse light.
