Some scenes had a K-100 (stunt truck) painted in the same graphics. This one was apparently used for second unit. If you look closely during the weigh station break through and the final funeral scene (during the credits), you can see the K-100. |

You're right but it's actually a K123. |

The k-123 was also used to hit the jail house and to hit that melon truck |

Breaker 1-9! Hi everyone. I'm a new guy here. I am a modeler, building mostly US trucks in scale 1/25. Now I have a plan to build Paulie Hauling's Cruiseliner. I have the truck and Live Stock trailer in plastic to start from and making home made decals for cab. I have to make the number plates to. Here is the problem: I can't take sharp pictures of them from the movie. Can anyone help me at least with states on truck and trailer number plates. Thank you Sergey |

Did you guys know that the cruiseliner did has two livestock trailer used for the movie? One with side on the left side, and one without a side on the left side.. It can clearly been seen just after the rubberduck truck pulls out of the jail, you can see, try it, frame by frame;-) |

The original Truck was called Pig Pen, and was built in Mack's Hayward CA plant. Originally the plan was to destroy Pig Pen instead of the Rubber Duck. The individual responsible for the trucking scenes Liked the truck so much he did not want to destroy, it so we built a dummy with no engine or transmission. He couldn't come to destroy that truck either so we got it back and put an engine and transmission in it. As far as I know he kept those trucks, and where they ended up I have no idea. We also built the Rubber Duck and it dummy truck in Hayward. The local premier of the movie was at the Union City Drive In where all of us who worked on the trucks got a free pass. -- Last edit: 2021-09-04 06:14:02 |

Pig Pen's truck was a 1977 Mack Cruiseliner according to Dan Bruno's website that had owned two of the surviving Rubber Duck Mack's Pig Pen's stunt double was apparently a 1973 Kenworth K-123 that was made to look like a Cruiseliner There are many promo picture's of this truck going around on the internet of when it had left the Mack truck factory plant and at a truck show before the film had premiered in either April or March of 1977 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-02-08 10:43:14 |

The only time the 1973 Kenworth K-123 Stunt Truck was used, was when Pig Pen was passing Bald Eagle as he was asking for permission to join the Convoy, as Pig Pen was going through the Weigh Station, and all through the Highway End Credits Scene. Those are the only 3 scenes where that truck was used, all other scenes with Pig Pen were with Mack WR-Series (CrusieLiner) Cabovers |
