The cattle truck is a GMC from 1948-54. The tandem flatbed is either a Kenworth 523/524 or a Peterbilt 281/351.

"HC-Series" model year range is 1949-59. The passenger part of the cab is indeed the same as the one of the 1947-54 New Design light- and medium-duty truck line, but the whole cab is known as "fat cab".
If the "smallest" 600-Series models gained the Task-Force cab in 1955, the 900-Series remained on sale with this appearance until 1959 (and "leaved the business" due to the launch of the B-model in 1960?).

The "HC" part of the code disappeared from 1952 onward, when HC-6x0 to HDCW-9x0 (D for Diesel powered and W for tandem rear axle) became... 6x0 to DW9x0 models. But it's certainly better to keep this name for consistency?
If I'm not mistaken, and as for all GMC heavy-duty models, there was no external change in trucks between the different model years.

Thanks to the trail given by mwbridgwater, this truck can be given a more precise identification (although this won't change anything on how it was already recorded in the IMCDb): the 4-bar grille is the one of a "small" model (500- or 600-series), which means that the 2-part windshield indicates a 1949-53 model.
I'd like to see a 1951+ vent window on the door, but it could also be a misleading mirror support...

Yes, 100-600 Series models all got the new (small, Chevrolet) cab in mid-1955. The large (GMC-only) cab introduced in mid-'49 for the 700-900 Series (nicknamed the "Fat Cab") continued through '53 for the 700-800 Series, but 700-800 were dropped beginning 1954. The 800 Series was re-introduced for 1955, again with the same large cab, and lasted through 1960. The 900 Series remained in production (with the large cab) for the entire period from mid-1949 through 1959.
