By the chrome piece visible just before the door jamb on the front fender and shape of the unified grille and front bumper, this is a 1958 model. Other information may be found in the pattern of the interior or with knowledge of which models were produced as convertibles. Agree, 1958 DeSoto Fireflite Convertible with the medallion on the side of the front fender ( LS3-H Fireflite model 27). |

1958 Fireflite convertible. These were very rare, only a couple hundred were made. Is it just me or do the 58 Desotos kind of look like the 58 Fords, from the front? |

That same '58 Fireflite pops up in the pilot episode of "One Step Beyond", entitled "the Bride Possessed. Same license plate and everything! |
