That looks like a 1986-1990 Chevrolet Caprice. Comments? |

Agree. |

No. 1980-1985. |

How can you tell? The tailights seem to run continuously, unlike the Caprices from 1980-1985 which had separate pieces of lights. |

No third brakelight, which would be visible through the rear windshield since the taillights are illuminated. And there seems to be a badge behind the front turn lamp on the fender, something the 1986-1990 Caprices did not have. |

But wouldn't the third brake light only be on if the car was braking? Which in this case it does not seem to be doing. And you may be right about the badge, but it looks more like a dent to me. Also, it appears to have fleet-style wheels/hubcaps, but I'm not completely positive of this. |

the fleet wheels are a Canadian type. And you're right about the third brakelight. Jus watched "Striking Distance" on Youtube. |

Canadian type? ![]() |

I should've been more specific. These fleet wheels were first introduced on the Caprice's Canadian counterpart, which was the 1987 Chevy Biscayne 9C1. |

Does this help?![]() |

Picture provided by antp is definitely an earlier model, 1980/85. |

Yes indeed. I was wrong. That's such a longshot, though ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-08-08 23:46:04 |

Since this is an earlier generation, we can list this as Chevrolet Caprice Classic. -- Last edit: 2009-08-08 23:36:07 |
