I think it is much earlier than 1968. Borgward were out of business well before that. Maybe 1958?? |

After Borgward's smashup in 1961 the manufacturing line was shipped to Monterrey, Mexico. The P 100 was called 230 GL there and production started in August 1967. 2267 cars were produced until early 1970. -- Last edit: 2009-08-09 11:38:42 |

the 230 base model came with flat rear windwow instead of panorama and no fins it looks quite modern compared to the more expensive GL , the GL was a "clean" P 100 like this one, in Monterey they even designed new front and rear design without fins in 1970 + a new Isabella |
