I'll give you that. The animator selected the crown of the grille (where it would say BUICK EIGHT) and placed that instead on the hood, which makes it [the emblem] look more like Mercury's from the early fifties. If you need a year, use 1942: For the grille and wraparound fenders. This looks like they are watching a very old Driver's Education film (sepia tones, grainy texture, etc.).
