If I'm right, this is the 1997 Daytona 500, when Dale Earnhardt's car flips over with 12 laps to go. He noticed the tires were still on, and took the car off the hook. After getting it fixed (to the best of his team's ability), he got back in the race, and finished 31st, 5 laps down. |
