This car was built from 1930 until 1934, when the company was shut down and reorganizes as "American Bantam". Any help on the precise year would indeed be nice. Note the wheels are not original to the car. |

It is not a 1934 since those had vertical hood louvres and were facelifted models .The original roadster was built from october 1930 to 1932 and was normally always finished in 2 colors : cream and black or green and black. In 1932 there was no roadster but a very expensive DeLuxe Cabriolet at $ 475 , also a 2 passenger vehicle as all American Austins. In 1933 a Roadster was catalogued again at $ 305.Difficult here to date because of the restoration with one color ,non standard bright drum headlights and hubcaps and brightwork on the hood louvres. |

The car is a 1930 American Austin Roadster, and it is still in existance! The time in Hollywood got it modified with hydraulic brakes, modern wheels and 1962-3 Ford Falcon Futura hubcaps. Car is now white, and living on the east coast of the US. |
