Also unusual rubber on over-riders. Seems from this one there may have been a jazzed-up version as Authi MG 1300 S, 1971+; I've no info, simply how that one has been entered. |

This is a jazzed up MG 1300 Serra![]() "...Pedro Serra Vidal died on 17 March, 2017; he was one of the most famous Spanish designers and bodybuilders of all time and many of his fans and close friends compared his work and ideas with the great genius of the ADO16 body stylist, Battista Farina (commercially known as Pininfarina). The Authi MG-S 1300 was available from September 1971 until October 1972 and a Serra decided to offer a version – the MG 1300 equipped by Serra. Whilst it retained its standard 65bhp engine it gained a lavish and elegant makeover with a sunroof, auxiliary lights and sports wheels; inside there was a revised fascia and wood rimmed steering wheel, also wooden door cappings, a plush carpet and head restraints. Earlier this year [2019] one surviving example surfaced for sale in Spain – we show that car although the picture quality and indeed the images of the brochure are unfortunately poor." from post by ado16.info". Serra seems better known for a 1300-based MG Crazy pastiche buggy - there's a blink-and-miss it glimpse at 0:30 here amongst some very exotic exotica. Maybe 3 - 6 made. |
