This is one of the famous "Mobile Lounges" of Dulles International Airport outside Washington, DC. It's actually a Chrysler: /vehicle_20149-Chrysler-Budd-Mobile-Lounge.html

They still use the mobile lounges in Dulles Airport. I transfered through the airport last August. I heard that they are going to stop using them when they finish constructing the underground subway in the airport.

That's the plan. For me, riding the mobile lounges is one of the best parts of flying out of Dulles. I'm going to miss them when they're gone.

I know, such a pity! The mobile lounges made Dulles Airport very unique and once they get rid of them, Dulles Airport will just be like any other international airport. Tsk tsk :(

I rode in one of those things the one time I flew out of Dulles, back in 1994. One of my friends said they reminded him of sections of the Mammoth Car from "Speed Racer".
