Lada 2101 (?) |

It looks more like a 2105. Since it is a UK version, I guess it had a name. Lada Riva ? -- Last edit: 2006-03-08 18:16:45 |

Yes, Lada Riva is correct for the UK. |

Wasn't Riva the British name for the 2107 and Nova for the 2105 ? |

I really doubt Homer would drive a Riva in real life! I guess they chose those cars because they are square and cartoon-like |

Why is this pic in here? It's not part of the Simpsons! |

used in ep. 17.15 instead of normal intro ![]() |

I wonder, was the live action intro officially part of the show, or something that Sky TV slotted in (it was used in adverts for the program on Sky One as well)? Why was it filmed in England instead of America? |
◊ 2006-10-16 10:27 |
as far as I know, it was filmed by the group of UK fans and Fox liked it so much, that they make it intro in that ep. |

Used in SkyOne's live action version of the simpsons intro, filmed in england. |

How could this be a GB car? It's LHD. |
◊ 2009-12-05 23:44 |
The windscreen wipers are correct for RHD. It might have had a simple LHD conversion with a chain linking the steering wheel to the original steering column: /vehicle_31886-International-CM-1300.html |

It would probably be easier to source a LHD car direct from Russia. |
◊ 2009-12-06 17:06 |
No, rather from other countries. In Russia are used cars more expensive than in the rest of Europe. |

I didn't remember they have widescreen?![]() ![]() |

No the 2107 was called Lada Riva SL. The 2105 was Lada Riva. Nova wasn't used in this country. |
