I didn't know they were exported to France. I thought Fiat didn't let Seat do that. |

Seat were imported in France since the 80's |

IIRC Seats which were not identical with current Fiat models were exported to France earlier than that (for example the 4-door 127 and the 133). |

But If I'm not wrong the 133 was sold in France as Fiat not Seat |

Before Seat was connected with VW, some Seats witch differ form the Italian Fiats were sold in the rest of Europe as Fiat indeed. |

In what countries? If I remember correctly, not even the (very very few) 133 were sold as Fiat, always as Seat. Before the Marbella and the 1st gen Ibiza came on the German market, the 133 was nearly the only Seat, avilable here, except some 770's in the 60ies. |

In Holland we had in the early 70s the Fiat 600 that was actually a Seat, then during 1974-1979 several Seat models were sold by and as Fiat, like the 127 4-door sedan, the 133, the 124 (together with the Italian 124, but with a difference in price of about 10%...), later the 124 D 1200 and 1430 Special, and in 1979 the 'Fiat 127 Seat Sportcoupé 1430'... Only in April 1983 Seat appeared on the Dutch market as an independent make: the Seat Ronda. -- Last edit: 2009-09-23 11:45:12 |
