From the bumper design, I'm guessing the year is 1925-26. It's a custom funeral coach but I won't even hazard a guess as to the manufacturer. There were so many. |

The front bumper is typically Lincoln. It is a custom built funeral coach on Lincoln's 150 inches wheelbase chassis. It has round rather than drum headlights.Year ca 1928.In the mid to late twenties Lincoln sold each year 20 to 40 of these bare 150 inches chassis to ambulance and hearse coachbuilders. |

Ce n'est pas une Lincoln. Cela ressemble plus à une Studebaker 1926. Les parechocs des Studebakers étaient identiques aux Lincoln. |

"1926 Studebaker Big Six Superior Funeral Coach" No doubt: This is one of the early Superior bodies, that were mounted on Studebaker Big Six commercial chassis. All that heavy ceremonial decorations must have been added later, which was always a common practice to restyle outdated hearses. I could also imagine the producing company being responsible for these additions (Director: "Ah, come on, that´s not hearsy enough... Get some housewares at the store and bolt´em to the car!") |
