Uncle Buck was made in 1989, so this bus could only be from the late-1980's. |

Has fender badge, so 1983-1989 (per the date of the movie). -- Last edit: 2012-11-08 03:23:00 |

I can settle this argument right now. This is a 1988 Ford E 350. I worked for National School Service back then as a mechanic. The fleet number tells you the year of the bus. Fleet # 8267. 8 meaning the year of the bus and 267 is the bus number. They borrowed this bus from our Palatine IL. terminal for the movie. Two years later it ended up at our terminal in Glendale Wi. I worked in this very bus. Hope this cleared up things? -- Last edit: 2021-01-16 03:51:31 |

could this help with other school bus we have in the database ? is this only for the small ones like the Econoline here or works on the big ones too ? -- Last edit: 2021-01-16 07:02:35 |

it depends on the fleet/company the bus belongs to; not all used a year based system |

The postal service trucks in America have the first digit as the model year too. |
