"Hey Sugar." "Yeah?" "What have you got under the hood?" "Oh, That's a 454, 4 on the floor, full house with a blower." "Really?" "She's a Sweetheart ain't she?" "Mmmmhmm,," "Will you relax Sugar. Everything's gonna be just fine." "Uh, I don't think my boss really wanted this thing to do 120 mph!!" "Well it's doin' it!!! Whoooo!!!!!!" |

I think the engine was a 327 with turbo,not 454. |

There wasn’t a 327 cid V-8 engine available for the 30 Series during these model years. Engine choices consisted of a 4.8 liter pushrod 292 cid I-6, 5.7 liter pushrod 350 cid small block V-8, or 7.4 liter pushrod 454 cid big block V-8. Gearbox choices consisted of either a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, or a Turbo Hydra-Matic gearbox. |

Perhaps a collector bought it because of its role in the film. |

Some of those service stations, garages and car dealers keep these things forever! (I know of a '63 Chevy C-30 still in service with a small garage?) |

My father worked for Joe's Union for many years and I remember always going for a ride in the tow truck as a young kid.. Brings back great memories! Joe's Union serviced quite a few of these cars while the film was in progress! |
