Not C-1500, just C-15. Also it has a Wideside bed. |

by this time GMC had started using 1500, as the badge on the side of the truck states. -- Last edit: 2009-11-11 01:07:56 |

The vast majority of Chevrolet/GMC trucks from this generation are listed wrong, period. It's a mess. |

True and it doesn't help that Chevy and GMC were not consistent with the names, this one is an example but also in 1988 when the C/K series came out GMC adopted Sierra as the official name for all of their pick-ups. |

All the info that I can find is showing that GMC switched from 15 to 1500 for the 1981 model year. |

Oh yes, it just keeps getting better an better. You must have a Ph.D to understand these trucks. I’m working on my Masters at this point ... ![]() |

We need to put some sort of moratorium on these trucks until we can get a good grasp on the names and such. I think we're going to have to build some sort of guide/encyclopedia on the forums or something. |

Don't tell me, ford guy, is Wikipedia not a good site for all the details on Chevrolet/GMC C/K series truck? ![]() |

It's the lack of detail that would discredit Wikipedia in this case. |
