They don't sell them here but they do build them here (and not in the US as the origin currently suggests). I was the one who told GM about the meanings of this name in Quebec! I had seen on a Buick fans email list that the model that would the Century and Regal would be called LaCrosse... I emailed GM about this the same day and a few weeks later, they made a focus group here in Quebec to see how people would react. Their reaction was the same as mine so they went for a name change! Strangely, the news about the meaning of this name came from Japan and apparently, the citizens of a city named LaCrosse in the state of Wisconsin were shocked when they heard about the meaning of their city name here! |
