I believe we are looking at two diffrent cars. The first one (front view) is a 1941 Cadillac "Series 62" convertible coupe [100% sure]. The other one (side rear and cockpit views) is a 1947 Cadillac "Series 62" convweertible coupe [100% sure]. |

Funny to have a 1947 Cadilllac in a 1946 movie. I guess they made it year end, when the new models were already out. |

The Cadillac in the small thumbnails seems to be the same car as identified by Mr Cadillac as a Cadillac 62 convertible of 1942 under the DeSoto Airstream thumbnails and not another 1946 or 1947 car .It is seen here at the side of the DeSoto in another shot .As the movie dates from 1946 ,a 1947 model may be excluded and it is unlikely that early postwwII models of 1946 would have been equipped with white sidewall tires that were not readily available then because of the post war material shortages.The car here was probably built between september 1941 and january 1942. Given the rarity of the 1942 convertible it could deserve a separate listing. |
