Destroyed in an explosion. |

How dumb. Clarkson as he usually is. That poor Omega would run 300.000 km if there was no Clarkson. |

Eh, Richard Hammond destroyed the car. |

What happens exactly? |

A RC-Car "with a bomb" drove under the car and then the Omega exploded. Hammond had a race in a Z4 against the RC-Car. -- Last edit: 2011-06-19 21:00:31 |

Mine's two years older than this and still running well enough, although it's long way off 300,000 km (186,411 miles) and I doubt I'll get to that mileage in it. I like to think it's cheaper to keep an aging gas guzzler like this running than buy a newish, small runaround car (although I've never really sat down and done the maths on it) Providing you don't do that many miles and nothing major goes wrong on it. But petrol is currently over £1.35 a litre in the UK -- Last edit: 2011-06-19 21:13:31 |

Still it is a well designed luxury car which is worth its money. This one here doesn't look rusted and has no dents so it makes no sense to destroy it. I just don't find it correct to destroy such a nice car when there is nothing majorly wrong with it -- Last edit: 2013-01-25 09:35:30 |

@G-Mann: it is indeed cheaper to keep the old car, though the higher fuel prices - assumed, that there won't be defects at important, expensive components. |
