In the episode, they mention the events depicted in the flashback occur in 1962. The black-on-yellow (1956 base) California plates are period correct, but the 1964 cars are anachronistic. They would have been issued yellow-on-black (1963 base) plates. |

APS221 is right, they do mention 1962, while they could have easily said 1964 since it has no further significance. Also "Don't Say Nothin' Bad About My Baby" by The Cookies is a 1963 song. |
