1961 Ford, looking very basic, so it's probably a Fairlane. |

Indeed, and it appears to be a very rare right hand drive, UK spec model too! |

Possibly an Australian built Ford, as these were build with RHD. |

No, it is not. Again, it is Canadian assembled vehicle for the British market. Even though the design came from USA, they use Canadian cars due to trade/import tariff duty. |

That remind me that UK has never been a country with many US cars , compared to others, even like France.... |

The width of many roads tend not to make American cars that attractive, along with most being LHD, & getting parts as well. Saying that ever since Jeeps started to sell well here many other Chrysler group models can be spotted, helped by the fact that they have no European production since the late 1970s. |

4CYT is the plate number https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjhpo0Frxig |

4 CYT was London, Oct 61 to June 62 "Allocated in blocks". Many 60s US in UK in period have single digit numbers, as if the importer (in this case Lincoln Cars Ltd, 88 Regent St W1) were able to secure low numbers from the local issuing office. [58E]?? |
