It is not a Packard Carribean .As shown by front view, rear fender shape and side trim it is a 1951 Packard 250 Convertible ( 24 th series model 2431).However the car is not correct :the rear end with trunk lid and rear lights are providing from a 1954 Packard ( 54 th series).Probably a car that has been involved in some rear collision and repaired with 1954 parts. The 4 rear fender trim u's of 1951 model are seemingly also lost. |

Thanks for chiming in, and Season's Greetings to you also. I have edited my comment to include a "?" mark. I will use this example to practice further discretion. |

This car is quite a hybrid! It has a '51 senior series front except the hood lacks the PACKARD letters. The taillamps are from a '55 (note the back-up lenses underneath) while the remains of the trunklid ornament is 1951. The side trim is the '51/'52 200 design. The rear bumper is from a '53 or '54 senior series car. You could part this car out to the restorer of several different models! -- Last edit: 2010-09-01 18:29:10 |
