Toyota Tazz South Africa A facelifted version of the sixth-generation five-door hatchback was made in South Africa as an entry-level model called the Toyota Tazz from 1996 until July 5, 2006. The Tazz was offered as 130, and 160i. While the three-door was sold as a panel van model there, called the Toyota Carri. |

Doesn't really appear much facelifted from the original ... |

It doesn't stand out as a Tazz. It could very well be an earlier Corolla. The facelifted Tazz is completely different, but I've found several Tazzes with pre-facelift features. Changing to Corolla |

The Wikipedia text has been updated: The sixth-generation five-door hatchback that was made in South Africa was marketed as the Toyota Conquest. The four-door sedan was also available, but with "Corolla" badging. Production began in October 1988, with a 1.3 liter 53 kW (72 PS) "2E" engine or the 1.6 liter "4A-F" with 53 kW (72 PS). The twin cam version of this was also sold, as the RSi Twin Cam (4A-GE), with 96 kW (131 PS). It was also sold as a panel van called the "Conquest Carri". |

1997+ Tazz, not Conquest. Identifiers: fully painted bumpers (base model Corollas had grey bumpers pre-1997), very plain window/door frame/B pillar (no black trim), black caps in centre of wheels, and no plastic side moldings. -- Last edit: 2019-01-07 15:34:56 |
