When I visted Washington DC, all of the full-size GM wagon taixs were either Caprices or Roadmasters. This one is probably Caprice, since Roadmasters had standard faux wood. |

On Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC, looking southeast towards the Capitol building. I was in DC just tonight and saw a Caprice sedan of this era still in service as a taxi. |

When I visited (2007), I saw more than a few 1980s-era cars in service. The oldest was a 1981-1985 Chevrolet Caprice, well over 20 years old. |
