You shouldn't be so strict. Maybe you'll cut yourself. Maybe there are some precioses hidden in the millions of parts, they have... ![]() They are a retarded, sure. But their business was founded by their father decades ago. They are as they are, but their knowledge about cars is not small. And very big about the stuff, which is stored in their chaos. A propos retarded: when my wife has seen them for the first time on TV, after a few seconds she shouted: "Incest! Several generations of Incest!" |

Oh, I don't dislike them - I simply detest the way they get showcased and made look like fools on behalf of a TV broadcaster. Actually, this is just my universal hatred for Reality TV plus I don't understand why so many people watch this and treat the guys like superstars. To me, that whole Ludolf-hype is just an indicator of how insane the world has become... Anyway, I don't think these brothers are retarded - just nerdy. But aren't we all somehow? No reason to get us on camera on a regular basis. |

For sure are we nerdic, too. I can definetely confirm it for my person. ![]() Otherwise you should think about, that a little bit of prominence, at least in the scenes of our hobbies and interests, is very helpful for ourselves. ![]() And mention the old journalist's rule: "Bad news are good news". I had success with some provocatively formulated reader's letters, which were published in classic car magazines. Several people were offended and angry about it - but these reactions have caused, that my name and my interest was noticed by several people more. So even months later, some guys have said, when they saw me in natural "Hey, aren't you the nerd, who has annoyed many other classic-car-freaks?" ![]() As we have discussed personally before: it's very useful for our own interests, when they people notice "There he's again, the nuts hearse- (or K 70-, license plate-, or whatever-) freak again!" May they have classified us as freaked out nerds, but who cares about that? The main thing is, that we can pick up more contacts, informations, parts, cars, etc... Won't a bad personal reputation at some contemporaries counterbalanced for many times more with, for example, a -due your wider contacts- freshly catched "Pfefferkorn" in NOS-condition? ![]() So why not bringing the Ludolf's on the "hearse-trip"? As a kind of "vehicle" for your own prominence? Let them act as usual, stay in the background, look for the cars and a few profound informations, but take care, that your face and name will be brought in correspondence with "Bestattungswagen", "hearse", "funebre" etc... |
