A few points: 1. Model origin should be West Germany, since that's where Mercedes-Benz originally designed and built the O 309. 2. The Iran National (two words, incidentally) badge is just additional to the Mercedes badging, like the TAS badge on Volkswagens made in Sarajevo. 3. Are we sure that this is an Iranian-made version anyway? |

I'm not sure with that. The little round logo on top of the front hood do have the German made ones, too. |

Yes, the little round badge is the Mercedes-Benz laurel wreath. The Iran National badge, if there is one, would be just above the radiator grille: /vehicle_45168-Irannational-MB-O-309-T2.html |

Yup, it sure is an Irannational, there were hundreds imported back in the day and used in public transport. ![]() On the picture above, the badge is probably not visible because of one of these reasons: -it either was removed before painting the bus and was never put back -it's just missing -it was painted blue like the lower part of the body http://tramclub.org/viewtopic.php?t=578 http://tramclub.org/viewtopic.php?t=8918 On the other hand, if you look at this one, the badge is vaguely visible, but it is there: /vehicle_271993-Irannational-MB-O-302-O-302.html -- Last edit: 2010-01-16 21:06:40 |

We can list it as 1972 (first year of production in Iran), like for now. |
