Oh gee. A Cartoon BMW. I wonder if the Simpsons was the only cartoon to imitate a BMW? Do you think BMW NA or BMW AG was aware of this? I think this could qualify as "product placement". The design they are imitating is an E28 US 5-series for sure. Check out the US-style bumper with intergrated parking lamps/turn signals, and the tilted grille. |

I sure there are dozens of caroons that imitated BMW's, like the Rugrats for example which I remember watching as a kid. |

From "Burns Verkaufen Der Kraftwerk". Where Burns sells the nuclear power plant to some Germans. This episode includes the legendary "Land of Chocolate" scene. After foolishly selling his stock in the Power Plant far too early (for about $20), Homer arrives at work the next day to find all his co-workers made a mint of the Power Plant's share price boom (which has happened because Burns is selling it to a German company) and they all turn up in expensive cars. -- Last edit: 2007-01-04 02:30:21 |

"Burns Verkaufen Der Kraftwerk" I hate how some Americans think they're super-cool just because they speak awfully bad German... In German this episode is called 'Kraftwerk zu verkaufen' (Power plant for sale) and the original title is shortened to 'Burns' so viewers won't be confused by the sudden bad grammar ![]() -- Last edit: 2017-05-10 19:20:31 |
