 2006-2010 model year range. 2011 (model year) will see the all-new unibody Ford Explorer.

It is unknown if Ford engineers will allow the SUV to continue-on with BorgWarner’s ControlTrac 4-wheel-drive system.
At this point it seems unlikely. The SUV may lose some or all of its off road capability.

This particular Explorer is a 2006 only due to XLT black plastic trim, 2007-onward XLT models have no body cladding
and painted fender trim.

2006 only by the black door handles. This was done away with for 2007 MY.
