In case of the badge it is written "Talbot 5 speed" (I know, you meant the plate) - 5 speed written this way together with the stripes can make it the "Alpine GLS", but it is more a guess, I'm not 100% sure. Yes, having checked now; for a very short time, but it's very blurred plus that part of the plate is full of dirt. |

I think this is 1.6GL with black window trim as introduced Aug 83 - it's the only version I can trace with the 5 Speed tailgate sticker; far side of tailgate would have Series 2 sticker in same style. |

HPi check gives it as 1.6 LS, not GL. So be it. |
