I thnik about 1950+ [W136 VI] 170Va Lueg body ambulance. Older (1946-1950) commercial 170V hasn't chrome bumpers by postwar shortages. |

The company still exists: http://www.lueg.de/lueg/index.htm It's one of the Big Player's here in the Ruhr-area. But I think, they don't make coachbuilding any more, except for some trucks. Maybe Animatronixx will know details. In 1993 they had offered a special model (or maybe some more) "125 Jahre Lueg". It was a fully equipped Mercedes 300 TD 4matic [W124]. New price 96 000 D-Mark. A friend of mine had one, but bought in used condition. |

I really don't think this is a Lueg body - rather Binz or Miesen, but I can't tell more without further pics. Lueg stopped commercial coachbuilding long ago and the last bodies I know of appeared in the 1950s. |
