Early on this old truck was Cooter's "regular" truck, when he wasn't using his towing ones. The Duke Boys borrowed it a few times from his garage when they didn't want to be seen in the General Lee. However, later this truck "disappeared" and Cooter only was known to use his tow-trucks.

When I was little my dad had an old 68 Chevy truck just like this...except his was red-orange and not dark green. Loved that old truck but sadly it became pretty rusted out by the time he got rid of it. :/

This was one of two trucks we supplied. One had a 6cyl other V8. They were to total the stunt one in one show, but they liked the trucks so much they used they for one or two seasons. The V8 one was my Cabinet shop (Anaheim Cabinet & Fixture) truck for years.
They also used our 16" step Van as a Cooters truck. They hid Bosses white VW inside it on one show. We talked them to leave the sign on the side when they were done with it.
We supplied lots of the cars from the early 70's and older. Classic Wheels out of Anaheim CA.

1967-68 only hood and grille, but 1968+ side-markers indeed. With the Fleetside bed option.

It's identified as a ¾-ton C-20 for now, but it seems to have the shortest available wheelbase (115"/2.92 m), meaning a ½-ton C-10 only. The wheel rims say the same thing, as a the ones of a C-20 would have 8 studs...
_____

Edit: Short C-10 with the Stepside bed option means of course a CS/CE10734 Chevrolet code...
