A completely unecessary loss. Was only used for a couple of seconds and then destroyed ![]() |

Look, I'm not exactly a fan of seeing Panther cars destroyed but this happens all the time in movies. What were they going to use instead to destroy, a Toyota Corolla police car? Every car has a role and if it means destroying a 10 year old police car that is past it's prime then so be it. I'll be crying in 10 years when they're still destroying these cars as by then they'll be rarer. |

The 1998-2002 models are virtually indestructible. Therefore I find it sad that they particularly destroyed one of this year range. In 2003 the cars got a new steering system, which was not quite as sturdy as the old one. Due to that, 2003+ CV's suffer more damage than the older ones when they hit objects. -- Last edit: 2011-10-04 23:06:32 |

6 years later and Hollywood is still destroying these cars. What is it about 1.5 million made? Surely they will run out by then. 92 to 94 was commonly used till the dawn of the mid late 2000s then they moved on to 98 to 2002 year cars. Now they are using the most current ones in films. Only thing left for the Panther platform is movies, demo derbies and taxi cabs. It is not like there is a huge demand for them. These cars get treated the worse in films these days. |

Ford Guy may be interested to know that a unique Fordson ET6/Bellhouse Hartwell coach was destroyed by a TV company here. They obviously didn't do any research or look for a more numerous vehicle before committing this atrocity. https://www.flickr.com/photos/10631124@N07/23955485289 |

Wonder if it was restorable (the pre wreck picture looks like it was super rusty and ropey before it got wrecked) |

01:19:18 for the other one @dhill_cb7, when regrouping it is good to keep the time tag ![]() I'll try to add a function to make that easier -- Last edit: 2024-02-07 10:49:52 |

My apologies. I will make a conscious effort to add time stamp for future merges. |
