86+ Sovereign for headlamp washers. |

Does that really mark it out as a Sovereign? You couldn't have that as an option on an XJ6? |

/vehicle.php?id=536218 proves it was an option on XJ6, so not a definitive call. But unlikely many buyers would spend much effort upgrading an XJ6 when the Sovereign was a simpler route alongside. Downgrade to XJ6 if you want - I'm easy either way on this one. |

1982 film date so older than 1986. I'd say probably an early XJ6, but this is more of a guess than a definitive answer based on proof. Full list of XJ S3 options at: http://www.jaguarxj.info/JAGUAR%20XJ%20SERIES%20III.htm headlamp washers are listed there. I also imagine it would be a legal requirement/standard feature in certain markets such as Sweden, though I doubt it would be in Italy. -- Last edit: 2012-11-21 15:45:46 |

82 also too early for Sovereign, so XJ6. |

I think this is too much like guessing, just list as XJ if we don't really know (could possibly be an XJ12 for all we know) -- Last edit: 2012-11-22 02:21:45 |

XJ12 would have alloys instead of steel wheels as here AFAIK. |

Also I see dsl's renamed some others to Sovereign on the basis of headlight washers, which I don't think is strong enough evidence, sorry. I think they should be changed back to just XJ. |

OK - not as reliable as I'd hoped. |
